William C. "Bill" Landers passed from life to the arms of His Savior on 12/8/2020 after a brief hospitalization. He was born in Fairview (Cullman), Alabama the son of Henry Francis Landers and Mertie (Bonds) Landers. He served in the Panama Canal Zone in the Navy and later married and graduated from Auburn University. He worked in insurance agency sales and co-owned, with his wife Nell, Landers Insurance in Birmingham, AL.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nell Sherrell Landers, and sons William Mark Landers, Daniel Edward Landers, and daughter in law Cynthia Bock Landers, as well as 2 grandchildren, Samantha Landers and Evan Mark Landers; 2 step-grandchildren, Candy and Heather; as well as 2 great-grandchildren, Lucy Williams and Liam Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Vivian Landers Bailey, and half-siblings Laura Landers Dewalt, Lillian Landers Ewalt, Clarice Landers Noble, and Claude Landers.

He loved the Lord and was a member of Lakeside Baptist church, having served in deacon and elder positions during his church life. A memorial service will be announced in the Springtime. He will be interred at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
