According to my grandmother, he was chosen to play pro ball with the Washington Senators. He unfortunately was found dead in his car before playing his first game with the team. It was believed to be in Charlottesville. I can't find any supporting evidence, new paper clippings. If anyone stumbles upon anything, I would appreciate!

UPDATE 2.23.2016: Upon locating James death certificate that provided his date of birth and death, it only stated a it was due to a car accident. Grandma's stories always pointed to the truth however. She always believed there was something sinister in her brother's death that could not be proven. Any news articles found in Charlottesville, VA would be appreciated.

UPDATE 9.17.2019: Thanks to the release of the Daily Progress publications being posted publicly on the UVA the death and obituary of James Anderson Gentry has been found. This would not have been possible if the stories of my grandmother (Anderson's sister) had not been heard. James Anderson Gentry funeral was held Thursday October 18, 1928 at 11 O'Clock at Woolen Mills chapel followed by interment at Riverview Cemetry next to his family.
