Catahoula- A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Dion Hall in Catahoula for Alice Vicknair Bienvenu, 59, who passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

Father Bill Melancon will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula.

Alice was a Catahoula native her whole life. The outdoors was everything to her- she spent most of her time hunting and fishing. Alice also enjoyed listening to live music and going to the casino. She loved spending time with her family and cooking for gatherings. Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Michael "Mike" Bienvenu; daughters, Tashia Seeba and her husband, Dr. Garrett Seeba and Nadia Poche and her husband, Dustin Poche; son, Josh Romero and his wife, Kaylee; brother, Wallace (Anna Robin) Vicknair; sisters, Connie (Scotty) Theriot, Lisa (Terry) Rush and Cathy (Dean) Borel; grandchildren, Addyson Poche, Tyler Romero and Cole Romero; and sister-in-law, Mady Poche Vicknair.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Herman Vicknair and Rosy Talley Vicknair; and brother, Archie Vicknair.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Martin Parish Animal Shelter at 1004 Industrial Park Rd., St. Martinville, LA 70582.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Lafayette General Medical Center and the staff of Grace Hospice for their compassion and care.
