Alois Bukovic, age 86, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020. Alois was born July 7, 1934 in Hiles, WI, to Anton and Josephine Bukovic. He is survived by his sister, Agnes Pilsnik, and numerous nieces and nephews. Alois was a kind and humble man who loved living and working on the family farm in Hiles. He had a passion for gardening, trapping minnows on the Popple River, long walks in the woods and avidly following Milwaukee Brewers games on radio and television. He always treated his nieces and nephews to rides on the back of his pick-up truck to the county dump to watch the bears, or the railroad track to watch the trains. He enjoyed sharing vanilla ice cream with his famous home-grown raspberries.
Alois was preceded in death by parents Anton & Josephine, bothers Anton Jr., James, Joseph, Paul, Francis, Victor and George and sisters, Josephine, Ann, Marie, and Lillian. His easy smile and enjoyment of life’s small joys will be with us always.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 7th from 10 – 11 a.m. at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crandon. Funeral mass to follow at 11 a.m. with Father Kennedy Gaspar officiating. Interment will be at St Mary’s Cemetery, Argonne. Weber-Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences can be sent at weberhillfuneralhomes.com.
