Troy Davis, 59, set off on his final journey on November 19, 2020, after a long and hard fight against cancer.

Troy was born on June 20, 1961, to Dick and Connie Davis, in Sioux City, Iowa. As a child, he lived throughout the Midwest and graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1979. He later made his home in Fort Dodge, running part of the family business, before moving to Glendale, Arizona in 1997.

A thrill-seeker and lover of adventure, he knew no bounds and often pushed himself and others to the brink. Troy brought life to the party and humor to every situation. He had a t-shirt for every stop along the way and a nickname for everyone he met. He joked constantly, laughed loudly and loved intensely.

Troy’s greatest treasures were being a dad and being a Papa. He is survived by his daughter, Christina (Skylar) Lempinen, grandson, Axton, and granddaughter arriving in February 2021, along with his ex-wife and close friend, Cindy Davis. Troy was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley, and his parents.

Also left with a lifetime of memories are Troy’s sister, Susan, and his three brothers, Steve, Terry and Kevin. Many nieces and nephews will also greatly miss their Uncle Troy.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on January 9th, 2021. Please see below for more information and to share your favorite stories about Troy.
