Mr. William Martin, age 84, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013.
He was born April 30, 1929, in Carroll County, Virginia to the late William Martin, Sr. and Fannie Martin.
Mr. Martin was a Baptist minister and former employee of Bassett Furniture.
Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents; and his loving wife, Mary Wanda King Martin.
Mr. Martin is survived by three daughters, Kathy Martin, Brenda Martin, and Tammy Lewis; two sons, Walter Willard and Larry King; one sister, Mary Lou Ayers; and three brothers, James Doran Martin, Claude Jackson "Jack" Martin, and Robert Rush Martin.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
