On Sunday, November 22, 2020, Leland "Lee" Egan Bruce Sr., passed away at the age of 87 due to complications of pancreatic cancer.

Lee was born on April 21, 1933 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Elmer "Bob" Aubrey Bruce and Mable Egan Bruce but shortly thereafter moved to Los Angeles, California where he was raised on 84th Street along with his Midnight Midget band of marauders. While working at Clark's Market throughout his High School and College years, Lee attended El Camino Junior College and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Pepperdine University in 1954. While at Pepperdine, Lee was recruited to Turco Products as a Research Developer for their Aerospace surface lines and was later recruited by U.S. Chem-Mill to head their Aerospace development product lines shortly thereafter. From U.S. Chem-Mill, Lee was later recruited to McDonnell Douglas Aircraft to head their chemical milling processes division and would later become a minority owner at Aerochem Inc. in Orange, CA where he developed relationships with Aerospace manufacturers worldwide to implement chemical milling processes on commercial and military aircraft. In 1981, the Aerochem owners sold their interests to Ducommun Inc. and Lee returned back to Boeing (successor to McDonnell Douglas) to finish his career as the leader overseeing the chemical milling research teams and the study of aircraft weights.

In December of 1953, and while working at Clark's market, Lee met Glenda Glee Geer. They were married on February 10, 1956 in Inglewood, CA. Lee and Glenda were later sealed in the Los Angeles Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for the past 64 years. There are 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
