Mrs. Jennie Piercefierd, 67, wife of Frank Piercefield, passed away yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the family home, 106 Franklin street, following a six week's severe Illness of a complication of diseases. Funeral services will be held at the Bethel church in Walesboro Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Lee Jackson. Burial in Bethel cemetery.

Mrs. Piercefield was a life-long resident of this county and formerly lived in Wayne township. She was a member of the Bethel church and a highly esteemed woman. Her husband, two step-sons, Albert and Raymond Piercefield, two brothers, Ashford Shutts, of Waukeegan, Ill., and William Shutts, of Brownstown, and one sister, Mrs. Melvina Roth, of Indianapolis, survive.
