BAXTER SPRINGS, Kan. -- Wretha Winifred Tanner, 71, No. 3 Chapman Drive, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at her home after an illness.
Mrs. Tanner was born Oct. 2, 1923, at Galena.
She had lived most of her life in Galena and moved 12 years ago to Baxter Springs.
She was a homemaker.
She married Elmer L. Tanner on Oct. 22, 1941, at Joplin, Mo. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Nilan E. Tanner, Grove, Okla., and Duane A. Tanner, Baxter Springs; a brother, Glen Smith, Galena; two sisters, Goldie Alexander and Garnet Roller, both of Coulmbus; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Cemetery, Galena.
Roy L. Derfelt will deliver the eulogy.
Arrangements are under direction of Derfelt's Baxter Chapel, Baxter Springs.
