He graduated in 1923 from Chicago Art Institute. He died in September 1946 in Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan. He was buried in Fort Hill Cemetery, Auburn, New York. Son of Charles Davis and Floria LaBounty. He was a Landscape Artist of the Late Impressionist Period in both Toledo, Ohio and Finger Lakes Region of New York. He painted murals in Cathedrals. One of his accomplishments being the Auburn Polish Falcon Stations of the Cross.
He was married to Ruth Hanna Atkinson ( daughter of Walter Thomas Atkinson and Maude D. Hilliard) on August 22, 1926 in First Methodist Church, Auburn, New York. Ruth Hanna Atkinson was born on May 10, 1899 in Auburn, Cayuga county, New York. She was a Sales clerk in cosmetics at The Big Store in Auburn, Cayuga County, New York.
