James Wendell Trotter, 80 years old of Lake Villa, IL passed away Monday, November 23, 2020. He was born October 6, 1940 in Manchester, OH, the son of the late Wilbur and Mary (nèe Palmer) Trotter. On June 27, 1964, James married Suzanne Ciavarelli and she just recently preceded him in death on September 16, 2020. James served his country proudly in the United States Navy for 30 years.

He is survived by his children, James (Kara) Trotter Jr., Jennifer (Paul) Maggio, and Karen Pyburn; grandchildren, Jake, Dora, Lucy, Ella, Joey, Abby, Dylan, and Addison; his siblings, Mary Catherine Fizer, Billy Ray (Gay) Fizer, Barbara Ann (Chester) Young, Sandra Kay (Robert) Wagoner; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Trotter; his siblings, Ruth (Bill) Shelton, Ethel Marie (Clyde) Eshom, Wilma Jean Trotter; and his brother-in-law, Samuel Fizer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 135 S. Milwaukee Avenue, Lake Villa, IL 60046 with a visitation commencing one hour prior to the start of Mass. Committal Services with Military Honors will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2020 in Manchester Cemetery, Manchester, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 8430 W Bryn Mawr Ave #800, Chicago, IL 60631.
