Gertie Howard Bolin was my grandmother. We always called her "mama". She was a true and pure spirit who lived each day as a new day. Her heart was pure and she never met a stranger. When she left us it was a sad day. She stood by my papa after his strokes and we never thought she would leave us before him, but she did. We know that she watches over us and lends an ear when we need to talk and that in itself is a comfort. She was a devout christian and was more then ready to meet her lord on her 83rd birthday. May she now walk hand in hand with her lord and enjoy the immortal beaches of that realm. She will always be in our hearts.
