Barbara Bowboin Braxley Lovejoy, age 76, died Monday, October 1, 2007. Graveside service were at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Glen Kohlhagen officiating. Burial was in Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Barbara was a native of Lincoln County, but made her home in Baldwin County for the past 37 years. She was retired from Northrop Grumman Corp., and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. in Eatonton and was a member of the Coopers Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Emmett M. and Irma Lucille Dallas Bowdoin. She was the widow of the late William H. "Frank" Lovejoy and was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Padgett.
Survivors include two sons, Troy Braxley and wife Amanda, and Mark Braxley, both of Milledgeville; a sister Peggy Griffin of Milledgeville; her cousin, Stanley Dallas of Warrenton, Joe and Phyllis McMillan, Linda Liester, Deborah
Giles, and Dianne Cox, all of Milledgeville; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request expressions of sympathy to the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Eatonton, Ga. 31024.
