POTEAU - Floy May Abbott, 96, of Poteau died Thursday, May 23, 2002, in Poteau. She was born Sept. 9, 1905, in Poteau, Indian Territory. She was a homemaker, a member of Jehovah's Witness Church in Poteau and the widow of Joseph Lester Abbott.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Evans & Miller Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Poteau with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau.
She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Alice Box of Mesa, Ariz., and Inez Hileman of Omaha, Neb.; two sons, Wayne Abbott of Poteau and Frank Abbott of Acme, Wash.; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Sam, Charles, David and Hank Abbott, Charles Dawson and Charles Dawson Jr.
