Gilford-----Fred L. Gardner, 78, of 336 Intervale Road, E6, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Wednesday, November 3, 2010. Mr. Gardner was born July 26, 1932 in Joplin, Missouri, the son of William and Fay V. (Hodges) Gardner. Mr. Gardner served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War and had been employed as an engineer at Boeing Aircraft for many years. He resided in Joplin for most of his life, moving to Gilford 2 ½ years ago.

Mr. Gardner enjoyed golf. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Gill) Gardner, of Gilford; a son, Fred Nolan Gardner, of Neosho, Missouri; a stepson, John Gill, of Durham, N.H.; two stepdaughters, Ranae Ladieu of Boston, Mass. and Julie Ellis of Meredith, N.H.; two grandchildren, Katie Gardner and Jeff Gardner of Neosho, Missouri; a sister, Jeanie Gardner, of Colorado and several nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gardner was predeceased by a son, Bruce Gardner, and by two sisters and two brothers.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services. Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H. is assisting the family.
