Charles “Chuck” or “Doc” Wyatt was born February 11, 1937, at Hardy, IA the youngest child of Oscar and Una Mae Wyatt. Chuck grew up in Hardy, IA where he graduated from Hardy High School and continued his education at Iowa State University, graduating in 1960 with a degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Chuck was united in marriage to Beth Kunz on May 28, 1960, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. They made their home at Fonda, IA until 1974, when they moved to George, IA and he joined the George Veterinarian practice. During his active veterinary days, he helped care for thousands of animals and made many relationships with great farmers across Iowa. He enjoyed beekeeping, was a private pilot, model airplane enthusiast, woodworker, fisherman, boater & hunter. He and his family took many camping & travelling vacations to interesting locations across the United States. He enjoyed visiting family, the Iowa State Cyclones, Minnesota Vikings & Twins (Cubs too if they were winning) and researching Geneaology. Some great memories he had were travelling to England, Australia and Switzerland; flying his personal plane to Alaska and the Arctic Circle in 1972; and going to Canada on many fishing expeditions. He was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, George, IA, George Emergency Medical Service, Boy Scouts of America as Scoutmaster, George Wheelchair Repair (Hope Haven International) and Lyon County Conservation Board. Chuck became a resident of the George Good Samaritan Society in June of 2020 and died there this past Sunday morning, November 22, 2020, at the age of eighty-three.

Chuck was survived by his wife Beth Wyatt of George, IA; his children, Garet (Teresa) Wyatt of George, IA; Kristin Wyatt (Cathy Tschumper) of LaCrosse, WI; and Emmy (Tim) McCalley of Pittsboro, IN; 14 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren; and one sister, Alta Johnson of Akron, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Una Mae Wyatt; brothers, Burl Wyatt and Virgil Wyatt; sisters, Etta Ogan and Alma Seely.
