Don M. Wilson was born in Jacksonville, TX on September 6, 1940 to Fletcher A. Wilson and Margie Ann Green. He married Helen Martin on October 24, 1964 in Houston, TX and for the past 8 years they lived in Longview, TX. Don served his country in the United States Marine Corp. After his military service, he continued his career as a teacher and coach at several local school districts; until he owned his own photography business. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather to a wonderful family that will hold dear the memories they had with him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Helen Wilson, of 55 years; son, Fletcher Wilson; daughters, Leslie Henry and her husband Scott, and Carrie Teems and her husband Kelly; sister, Brenda Barber and her husband Bruce; grandchildren, Blake Wilson, Lauren Ashley Wilson, Amanda Henry, Kevin Teems and Laura Gulick and her husband Deven; and great-grandchild Leah Gulick.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher A. and Margie Ann Wilson, and daughter-in-law, Christy Wilson.

Private graveside services are arranged through Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer and burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
