Roberta Ann Brinson was born July 16, 1950 in Henryetta, Oklahoma and passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, November 19, 2020.
Roberta was proud to be the daughter of Roy and Evelyn Ruth Cornell. Because her daddy worked pipeline and they traveled some, she started school at Spring Hill in Pharoah, Oklahoma. After the family moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Roberta attended Crooked Oak from several years of elementary school, through junior high and 10th grade. Her family moved to Ringwood, Oklahoma in the summer of 1966. Roberta attended Ringwood High School for two years, graduating May 15, 1968.
Roberta married Clide Herbert Brinson August 16, 1968. She worked for a short period of time making limeades at Kidd Drug in Fairview, Oklahoma. But the job she took most pride in was being a homemaker to her husband and mother to her children. Roberta loved to sew, cook, quilt and paint and was excellent at them all.
Roberta is survived by her husband, Clide Brinson of Ringwood; son, James "Jamie " Brinson of Enid; daughter, Barbara "Barbie " Ools and husband Les of Enid; daughter, Misty Brinson of Ringwood; grandchildren, Blake, Kelsie, Harley, Garrett, Audrey, Justin and Gavin; six great grandchildren; sister, Gayla Woodin; niece Brandi Roulet; nephew, Jarrod Morris and many other family members she adored.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother and two infant brothers.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 10:00 AM in New Beginnings Wesleyan Church in Ringwood. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery near Ringwood with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Ringwood United Methodist Church Building Fund through the funeral home.
