Eudora passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008 in Lubbock. She was born November 4, 1916 in Wood County to William Thomas and Ella Dora Smith. She married James Henry Massingill on April 6, 1935 in Carlsbad, N.M. They moved to Terry County in 1942. He preceded her in death August 30, 1995. Eudora was a homemaker and seamstress, member of Eastern Star and the Meadow Quilting Club. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield. She was also preceded in death by a son, Alton Ray Massingill.
Eudora is survived by two daughters, Aurila Blankenship of Lubbock; Doris Jean Abraham and husband George of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Wynona Massingill of Fritch.
