Lynda Poythress Shingleton Campbell, age 72, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016.
Lynda was preceded in death by her husbands, Ronnie Shingleton and Bill Campbell; parents, Rev. Willard Poythress and Lucille Poythress; and sister, Dot Rose; and special niece, Jennifer Glover Bacon.
Lynda leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter Renee Flowers and husband George of Sims; her world her loving grandson, Logan Butts of Sims and his special friend, Walker Finklea of Wilson; sisters, Ruby Glover of Wilson, Barbara Boykin of Columbia, SC; brothers, Jimmy Poythress of Elm City and Bill Poythress of Wilson.
Lynda had an everlasting love and was very dedicated to her family. She had a passion for working for the Wilson County School System and looked forward to seeing her coworkers and the children she cared for daily. She will be greatly missed by many.
Visitation will be 4:30 ~ 7:30 PM Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home 2704 Nash St. N. Wilson, NC. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, June 9, 2016, in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Arrangements are being handled by Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, Wilson, N.C.
