BRIDGEWATER - Eva Craun Bowman, 85, of Bridgewater Home died Friday morning at the home.

She was born Feb. 5, 1901, in Rockingham County and was s daughter of the late William Arthur and Ida Glick Craun.

She lived het early life in the Centerville area and later moved to Chicago-Oak Park, Ill., where her husband was president of Bethany Seminary for 15 years. Mrs. Bowman returned to Bridgewater in 1952.

On June 1925, she married Dr. Rufus D. Bowman, who died Aug. 1952.

She is survived by a son, Mack D. Bowman of Richmond; two daughters, Jane Smithson of Lake Geneva, Wis., and Judy Simmons of Bridgewater; a brother, Emory Craun of Bridgewater; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at the College Street church, of the Brethren in Bridgewater by Dr. Robert L. Sherfy and the Rev. Paul Fike. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery

The family will receive friends 7:30-8:30 p.m. today at the Lindsey Bridgewater Funeral Rome.

BRIDGEWATER - Eva Craun Bowman, 85, of Bridgewater Home died Friday morning at the home.
