James Lewis Adams,62, resident of Spring Hill,TN. passed from this life Thursday, Aug.5,1993 in Maury Regional Hospital.
Graveside services were at 2:30pm Sunday in the Henryville Cemetery with Bro. David Swanger offciating.
James was a native of Lawrence County, the son of the late Lewis Elliot Adams and Mary Edna Crews Adams. He was the husband of Evelyn Flesher Adams. He was retired from Chemtron Railway Products in Bellevue,Ohio, and also union president with the International Aerospace Workers Union at Chemtron. He was the owner of Adams Insurance Agency in Bellevue,Ohio. He had served as an elder at Butternut Ridge Church of Christ, Clyde,Ohio and Strub Road Church of Christ, Sandusky,Ohio. He was a member of Spring Hill, Church of Christ.
Survivors, in addition to his widow, are two sons, Steve Adams of Fayetteville,TN., Scott Adams of Prospect,TN., two daughters, Cindy Linley of Monroeville,Ohio and Melanie Shoemaker of Columbia,TN., three grandsons, four granddaughters, two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter; four sisters Elois Foster and Judy Konig both
of Summertown,TN., Jewell Batteline and Jane Nafe both of Bellevue,Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Adams of Fletcher,N.C., and J.T.Adams, two sisters, Peggy Benefield of Salem,VA. and Martha Stimson of Bellevue,Ohio.
