ASHLAND - ELZIE E. ARMSTRONG, 79, 406 East Main Street, died Sunday afternoon in Samaritan Hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Armstrong retired as a supervisor at the Faultless Rubber Company after 46 years work. He had lived in Ashland for 60 years, was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Faultless Service Award Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Oyster of Marblehead and Mrs. Mary Henney of Mansfield; one son, Paul of Ashland; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Minnie Armstrong of Ashland; three brothers, Lee of Lexington, Corwin of Pompano Beach, Florida, and Byron of Columbus.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Frederick Gibbs and Rev. Merle Ramage officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
