Nina was a lifelong resident of the Pecos Valley as a member of Eastern Star. She loved gardening, fishing, square dancing, camping, and sewing although her specialty was talking on the phone.
In December 1945 she married Oscar Avery Cox of Artesia, the father of her children. They were later divorced.
Nina loved her family and loved when everyone was together for big family meals. She also loved her "coffee group" which consisted of her siblings gathering around her dining room table and "discussing" the world's problems and how they would fix it. Or to discuss who was on what medication this month. And always ending with lots of laughs.
In March 1979 she married Delbert Lawrence Boggs in a little Church in Dexter, NM. He proceeded her in death in August of 1997.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Mabel Clair (Tice) and Garland Chancy Duncan; her sons, infant Leslie Avery Cox in 1946 and Oscar Elbert "Bert" Cox in 2017; her brothers, Leslie Gordon "Bud" Duncan and Thomas Franklin Duncan; and a grandson, William Cox.
Nina is survived by her two daughters, Kay Ross, of NC; and Glyna Mullins (husband, David), of Artesia, NM; three sons, Wesley Cox (wife, Barbra), of Lubbock, TX; William Cox (wife, Alison), of Albuquerque, NM; and Larry Cox (wife, Wendi), of Las Cruces, NM; four sisters: Charlotte Livingston (husband, Robert), of Albuquerque NM; Gene M Achterberg of Snyder, TX; Doris Erlene Dees of Roswell, NM; and Oleta Eaker of Roswell, NM; and her brother, Robert Ray Duncan of Artesia; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
