Heart Attack is Fatal to Hartford Resident Alfred Ruegg
Alfred Ruegg, 43 year old resident of Hartford and brother of Henry Ruegg, this city, died suddenly at his home Saturday night a few hours after returning to his home from a visit in Watertown. A heart attack while he slept caused his death.
He had come to Watertown Saturday afternoon to visit his brother and took him with him to his own home for a week's visit. At the time he said he was not feeling well but his condition was not regarded as serious.
Mr Ruegg was a native of Switzerland and was born on May 13, 1887 and come to the United States with his mother on 30 May 1905. His naturalization papers were dated 24 June 1912. She made her home with him until her death a few years ago. Since then he had been living alone. He was well known in the city and often visited here. He also lived near Watertown for many years, being a cheesemaker on Route 1. Later he moved to Hartford where he was in charge of a factory. His brother here is his only near relative and he has a sister in law in Thompson, WI. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon in Hartford.
