Robert Hurd, resident of Rock Island for 40 years and a veteran of the civil war, died this morning at 2:30 in his home, 1317 LeClaire avenue, Davenport. Death was due to a complication of diseases superinduced by infirmities of age. Mr. Hurd was 82 years old. He lived in Rock Island until six years ago, when he removed to Davenport. He leaves his widow, three daughters, Miss Jennie Hurd and Mrs. Dan Keeler of Davenport and Mrs. James Fuller of Cedar Rapids, and a son, William Hurd, of Cedar Rapids. The funeral will be at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning with services in Sacred Heart cathedral, Davenport. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery, Rock Island.
