October 20, 1934 ~ November 6, 2020 (age 86)

Virginia Faye Sherrill Armstrong, 86 of Moulton Passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 at her residence. Visitation will be Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Lawrence Funeral Home from 12:30 PM till 2:00 PM with the funeral service at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel and Bro. Brandon Pylant officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Please follow all Covid 19 guidelines.

Faye loved her church and loved her family. She was the pusher of all swings and the fixer of millions of ice cream cones. Granny Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and neighbor. She married the love of her life, Dale Armstrong, February 6, 1954 and the were married for sixty six years. Papa Dale said “She was the love of his life and a faithful partner.”

Mrs. Armstrong is survived by her husband; Murphy Dale Armstrong, two daughters; Amy Richardson (David) and Connie Armstrong, one son; Andrew Armstrong, three granddaughters; Julie Legg, Tara Beth Jones and Kate Richardson, five great grandchildren; Jaxson Dale Nickelson, Murphy Hayes Jones, Nori Kate Jones, Willa Faye Jones and Tallulah Grace Jones, and numerous special nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Richard Howard Sherrill and Julia M. Sibley Sherrill, her sister; Lavenia “Tip Toe” Blankenship, four half sisters and four half brothers.
