Mrs. Brown was born in Lawrence County to Richard and Pauline McMillan Sherrill. She lived in Decatur since 1929. Mrs. Brown was the widow of I.D. Cockrell and Paul Brown Sr.
Survivors include four sisters, Josephine Doss and Christine Polaski, both of Decatur, Lucille Cartee and Faye Armstrong, both of Moulton; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Gordon Appleton, Craig Appleton, Chris Appleton, Randy Montgomery, Dale Armstrong and Andy Armstrong.
