Joel F. McHale, 77, passed away October 31, 2020, in Great Falls. He was born November 15, 1942, in Bangor, Maine. Joel served 22 years in the Air Force and retired a Master Sergeant. He was stationed in Vietnam, Korea, France, Spain, England, and at several bases in the United States.

Joel is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bonnie Hamann McHale; son, Michael (Annette) McHale of Spanaway, WA; daughter, Wanda (Lloyd) Milliman of New Iberia, LA; four grandsons, Lance, Ben, and Adam McHale of Spanaway, WA and Bradley (Ember) Milliman of Lafayette, LA; granddaughter, Brandy Milliman of New Iberia, LA; two great-grandchildren, Aurora and James of Lafayette, LA; brother, George (Caroline) McHale of Veazie, Maine. He was preceded in death by his son, James McHale; father, Peter McHale; step-father, Virgil Gilpin; mother, Irene Gilpin; and brother, James McHale.

A graveside service will be held at Sunset Hill Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2020, in Fairfield with a luncheon to follow.
