Born in Spartanburg County, SC, on June 15, 1942, daughter of the late Loyd Donald and Emma Jane Hughes Gossett.
A member of Crestview Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Harold Evins Richards; daughter, Kim (Steve) Hughes; son, Tim (Sonya) Richards; two sisters, Hazel Smith and Carrie Jamison; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild expected to arrive December.
Predeceased by three sisters, Margie Leola Gossett Grubbs (1933–1997), and Juanita Gossett Simmons (1940–1990), and Myrtle Rebecca Gossett (1935-2008).
Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 pm, Monday, October 26, 2020,at the Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Jackie Ray and Mr. Jeff Simmons. Interment in the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Visitation held from 1:30 to 2:45 pm prior to the service.
