Jo Ann Christine Wilson Carr, daughter of the late V. O. and Ruby Lamb Wilson, was born June 26, 1931 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a believer in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and went to be with Him in Heaven October 28, 2020. Jo Ann was a graduate of North Little Rock High School. She was a member of the Mayflower Association as a descendent of Stephen Hopkins. Jo Ann retired from Crum & Forster Insurance Company where she worked for 26 years as a Senior Claims Adjuster in Little Rock and Claims Manager at their Fort Smith office. She was a past President of the National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW), Little Rock Chapter 1964-1965; Region VI Director 1973-1974 and NAIW Education Chairman 1976-1977. She served on the North American Mission Board and Southern Baptist Convention Commissioned Jo Ann as a Missionary October 9, 2007. As a missionary, she traveled to Russia and also volunteered at McPherson Prison, Newport for 8 years. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Myron Baptist Church.

Jo Ann is survived by her husband of 35 years: Bob Carr of the home; one son: Gerald Terry of Fox, Arkansas; three stepchildren: Bobbie Davidson of Roland, Arkansas, Philip Carr and John Carr of Benton; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one husband; three sisters: Olivia Harvey, Mae Tucker, Willie Kueker.

Funeral service will be Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne with Ardell Polk officiating. Burial will be at Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Pallbearers: Myron Baptist Church Deacons.
