Helen C. Booth, 84, of 1084 S. Seminary St. died Tuesday, March 31, 1998, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
Born Sept. 15, 1913, in Sandoval to Fred H. and Minnie Klotz Chance, she married Eugene Arthur Booth in 1946 in Galesburg. He died March 4, 1990. She also was preceded in death by one brother.
Surviving are one daughter, Sharon Welty of Galesburg; and one son, David of Stow, Ohio.
A 1971 graduate of Carl Sandburg College, she worked as a licensed practical nurse at the former Knox Manor Nursing Home, retiring as assistant director in 1979. A member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, she was a former president, secretary and treasurer.
