Christine M Vaillancourt Rose, 81, formerly of Woodpark Dr, Watertown, died Wednesday, May 1st, at The Pines at Bristol. She was the widow of Patsy Rose. Chris was born in Eagle Lake, Maine, November 7, 1931, daughter of the late Fred and Regina Bouchard Vaillancourt, step-mother, Cecile Langlais Vaillancourt.

A long-time resident of Watertown, she was a communicant of Saint John the Evangelist Church. She worked at Heminway & Bartlett Mfg. Co prior to becoming the owner of Sherri-Ann's Diner in Oakville. After closing the diner, she worked at Unisys and in the cafeteria at Waterbury Hospital.

Christine leaves her son, Brian J. Rose of Goshen; her daughter, Cheryl C. Delpier of Wolcott; her brother, Randolph Vaillancourt of Maine; her sister, Pauline Clark of Oakville; and two grandchildren, Bridgette and Nicholas.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Louis P. Rose; her grandson, Nicholas Rose; and two sisters, Irene McGee and Jean Martin.

Her family would like to extend special thanks to The Pines at Bristol, 1st and 4th Floor, and VITAS for the exceptional care received by Chris.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, May 7th, at Saint John the Evangelist Church, Watertown. Burial of ashes will followed in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Assoc., 2075 Silas Dean Hwy Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
