Mrs. E. D. Bell, 88, died Friday night at Southwestern Convalescent Center in Amarillo. She was born July 30, 1880, in Jackson county, Alabama. She had been a resident of Swisher county since 1905. She was married to E. D. Bell, Dec. 12, 1897. He died in 1948. She was the mother of the late Roy Bell of Tulia.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the First Methodist church with the Rev. James Carter, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill under direction of Wallace Funeral Home.
Survivors include a son, E. G. Bell of Tulia; a daughter, Mrs. Eva Patzig, Chula Vista, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Agnes Malone of Tulia; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
