The Tulia Herald, 9 Aug. 1979 - EDGAR G. BELL - Services for Edgar G. Bell, 74, of Tulia were at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bruce Parks, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery under direction of Wallace Funeral Home.

Bell died at 8:45 a.m. Thursday in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo after a long illness.

The Haskell County native was married to Velma Patzig on Sept. 15, 1925, in Silverton. He came to Tulia in 1906 from Haskell. Bell was a retired farmer and was affiliated with First United Methodist Church. He served as a trustee for Elkins School, a former area country school, and had been director of Tulia Coop Gin.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Wanda Hall of Tulia; a son, Warren Lee of Tulia; a sister, Eva Patzig of Chula Vista, Calif; two grandsons; and two great-grandsons.
