Beulah Elizabeth Worthen, 90, a resident of Carthage, Missouri passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 21, 2020. She was born October 11, 1930 in Yell County, Arkansas to Odell and Irene (Alverson) Ritchie. She was a homemaker who loved to have family gatherings. She really enjoyed having her kids and grandchildren around, playing Bingo and playing cards or other games with friends and family. Beulah was preceded in passing by her parents Odell and Irene Ritchie, her husband Leonard Worthen, her daughter Sandy Tedford and her husband Terry and her sister Doratha Stockwell.
Survivors include her children Betty Sones and her husband Ron Sones of Tavares, Florida, Tracy Worthen and Husband Barney Blackburn of Carthage, Missouri and Lenny Worthen and Vicki Carey of DeLand Florida, four grandsons, four granddaughters, nine great grandsons and seven great granddaughters, one great-great grandson and one great-great granddaughter.
Mrs. Worthen’s Graveside service will be 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Murphysboro, Illinois with Mr. Brandon Clapp officiating. Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Survivors include her children Betty Sones and her husband Ron Sones of Tavares, Florida, Tracy Worthen and Husband Barney Blackburn of Carthage, Missouri and Lenny Worthen and Vicki Carey of DeLand Florida, four grandsons, four granddaughters, nine great grandsons and seven great granddaughters, one great-great grandson and one great-great granddaughter.
