Dominga A. Chavez passed away on March 20, 2018, at Pax Villa Hospice. She was 86 years old.

Mrs. Chavez is preceded in death her husband, Jesus S. Chavez; and three sons, Arturo Fidel, Armando, and Adan Chavez.

She is survived by a brother, Juan Alaniz of McAllen; sister, Margarita Flores of McAllen; children, Adelita B. (Ruben) Mercado, Adriana C. (Juan) Garza, Alfredo (Mary) Chavez, Alejandro (Cristina) Chavez, Alberto (Diana) Chavez, all of McAllen, and Antonio (Rosie) Chavez of Mission; 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
