Husband of:
Anna Catherine Schlechtweg
Father of:
Anna Elizabeth Dravis Parsons (1858–1941)
Mary I. Dravis Balmer (1863-aft 1941)
A Katherine Dravis (1865–1924)
Emma E Dravis (1867–1933)
He disappeared suddenly in April 1876. He had been working as a coachman for Oliver Hoyt, on Noroton Hill. Mr Dravis went to work for Oliver Hoyt at 3:30 in the afternoon, and quit at 6:30 to return to his family. Since then he has never been seen.
There was a suspicion that a murder was committed, but nothing definite could be proven. Charles Gowland, an Englishman, who was suspected, went to England a short while afterwards; and several years ago (in 1910) word was received of his death. In 1910, the body had never been found and the affair was still as mysterious as ever.
