Immigrated to Quebec from France.

Married Therese Menard LaFontaine, widow of Jean-Baptise Deniau/Daigneau. Their first marriage was : "mariés à la gaumine en 1709," done somewhat unofficially during a mass conducted by Missionary Francheville. They had a second or "rehabilitated" marriage, to align with clarifications of ecclesiastical law, on 28 Feb 1724.

They had 7-8 children.

When Therese died in 1753, she was buried with her first husband at Longueuil, at St-Antoine-de-Pade.
