Singer. Víctor Yturbe, born Víctor Manuel De Anda Iturbe, was a Mexican singer, nicknamed "El Pirulí". He made his first contact with the artistic world, working as an aquatic clown. After a spinal injury, he stayed at the Hotel Posada Vallarta in March 1964 where he began to sing professionally at the hotel bar. From this experience he made his first compositions, and in a short time he recorded his first album, entitled "Noches en el Posada Vallarta," which included the popular song "Puerto Vallarta." Throughout his extensive career he recorded numerous albums. Yturbe was assassinated on November 28, 1987 after he was shot when he opened the door of his house. The case was never established and no one has been charged with his murder.
