Mary E. Graves, 83, died October 20, 2020. Mrs. Graves was born in Fleming County Kentucky to the late Catherine and Cecil Glascock on August 27, 1937. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Roy G. Graves on May 18, 2020. Roy and Mary met in High School and married just 2 days after graduating. In 1959 they moved from Kentucky to Lakeland, Florida for Mr. Graves to attend and graduate from Southeastern Bible College. Mrs. Graves worked at Bethany Retirement Home while Mr. Graves attended college. Then she went to work at the Top Value Stamp Store, working her way up to store manager until it closed in the late 1970s. Mrs. Graves then spent a year as the assistant librarian at Lakeland Senior High School. She returned to being a stamp store manager at S&H Green Stamps until it closed in the late 1980s. After that she worked for Phil and Donna Waldman at Globe Aero, an airplane ferrying company. She loved working there and with all the pilots . Mrs. Graves was very faithful in her Christian ministry of caring for the nursery age children. She did it for many years at First Assembly of God in Plant City, Florida while Mr. Graves was the Children’s Church Leader and then both her and Mr. Graves worked in the nursery at Southside Assembly of God in Lakeland, FL. Mrs. Graves is survived by her children, Steve (Sandy) Graves, Candy (Ron) Kremann, and Betty ONeal; Siblings Charles (Sheri) Glascock, Larry (Rhonda) Glascock and Carolyn (Clell) Vice all of Fleming County Kentucky and Evelyn (Mike) Harding of Colorado; Grandchildren, Jaime (Trent) Tyler, Justin Warren, Jodi (Scott) Schofield, Toby Kremann and Ty Kremann; Great-grandchildren Bryden, Emerson, Everett and Parks. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Graves Hunter. A memorial service for both Roy and Mary Graves will be held Friday, October 30 at 2:00 pm at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel on Bartow Road Lakeland, Florida.
