Services for Helen Johnston will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25 at Garland Street Church of Christ. Helen passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2007, after 50 years of battling a very rare disease. She was born in Dallas on Aug. 27, 1942. She graduated from Hale Center High School in 1965 after a four-year absence due to her illness. She was a Christian and, when able, attended the Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking and listening to music.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Audie Bell Daugherty of Hale Center; and a special friend, Ray Pierce.

Survivors include her sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Eddie Carroll of Plainview, Rita and Dick Fletcher of California and Dorothy and Ken Curtis of Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Gail Keisor, Chris Keisor, Jennifer and Todd Hendrix, Johnny and Cindy Pierce and Linda Pierce.

Donations may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation.
