Amelia Susan (Campbell) Hendrickson, 82, passed away 18 Feb 1916 near Dolan, Indiana. She was born 28 Feb 1833 in Ballymoney, Antrim County, Northern Ireland to Robert Campbell and his wife, Jane Cunningham. (The family migrated to the United States in 1843 through the Port of New Orleans.) Amelia married Reuben Hendrickson 12 Mar 1854 in Dolan, Indiana; but, unfortunately, he was killed in the Civil War during General Sherman's famous March to the Sea.

Amelia and Reuben had four children; Robert, Joshua, John and Isabella. Amelia was also briefly married to William Taylor and they had a child, Elizabeth Taylor, who married Levi Lentz. Amelia is buried at Payne Cemetery and a commerative headstone was erected at the gravesite for her and her husband, Reuben, who is actually buried at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennesse, Grave #9142. Reuben has another commerative gravesite at Farr Cemetery in the Morgan-Monroe State Forest near his parents.
