Obituary.
Lydia Ivonia Pappan was born in the Kaw Reservation January 8, 1881. Was married on December 23, 1898 to H.C. Spurgeon and to this union was born 7 children, 3 boys and 4 girls. 3 of the children already departed this life.
Mrs. Spurgeon was only sick 8 days until the death Angel knocked at the door.
She died August 15, 1911, age 30 years 7 months and 7 days, leaving this world at just noontide of life.
Funeral services were conducted at Washunga by Rev. E.E. Story and interment in Washunga cemetery.
