Anne's parents were Col. James De La Croquetagne (James Crockett) b. 11/20/1674 in Kenmore Parish, Bantry Bay, Cork, Ireland) and Martha Montgomery . Anne's father's brother Joseph Louis Crockett (b. 1/9/1675 Ireland, m. Sarah Stewart) was the 2nd great grandfather of the Davy Crockett the famous frontiersman.
Anne's paternal line was of French Huguenot (protestant) descent. Marquis de Lafayette, during the American Revolution, was impressed by the fact that so many of the American leaders were of Huguenot descent.)
