Union Civil War Soldier. Enrolled 28 Oct 1861 at Davenport, Iowa in Co. "E" of the 13th Regiment of Iowa Volunteers. His grave was removed from Waldschmidt Cemetery at Camp Dennison, Ohio to Spring Grove on July 4, 1869.
NOTE: His first name is spelled "Evans" on the interment listing.
