Darlene P. Swanson, 96, of 753 Knox Road 1850N, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, at Seminary Manor.
Born Nov. 27, 1903, in Keokuk, Iowa, to Beverly and Minnie Olgelsby Higgason, she married Milton W. Swanson on Dec. 31, 1927, in Knoxville. He died Aug. 1, 1969.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Surviving are one son, Richard of Galesburg; and one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Elizabeth) Schock of Highland Ranch, Colo.
She worked for O.T. Johnson Clerk for several years before her marriage.
Graveside services will be at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
