JAMES FREDRIC HOOKER, 92, formerly of the Bethany community in Eads, TN, passed away Tuesday night, September 18, 2007 at NHC Healthcare in Somerville, TN. He leaves his wife of 67 years, Dorothy Price Hooker, also of NHC Healthcare; three children, John Hooker of Oakland, Richard Hooker of Eads, and Darlene Sawyer of Cordova; two brothers, J. C. Hooker of Cordova and Bobby Hooker of Oakland; three sisters, Malissa Greer and Agnes Luster of Eads, and Evangeline Rutledge of Augusta, GA; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, but was called Daddy Nim by many. His past occcupations include explosives foreman at National Fireworks in Cordova, a medic supply foreman during WWII stationed in the Philippines, a farmer living in Eads, and a city worker for the town of Collierville. He was a life long member of Bethany Christian Church in Eads. Visitation will be at the Collierville Funeral Home, Friday evening, September 21 from 5-8 p.m. Services will be held at the Collierville Funeral Home, Saturday, September 22 at 2 p.m., with burial in Bethany Cemetery.
