Douglas Warren McCoy, 85 of Bowling Green KY went to be with the Lord Thursday September 10, 2015, when Jesus whispered his name. He was the son of the late Warren and Euna Hill McCoy. Douglas was born in Butler County. He worked for the J.C. Hopper Oil Company, Dale Sales Company and retired from Western Kentucky University. Douglas was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church and was ordained as a Deacon at Forrest Park Baptist Church, where in served faithfully for 38 years.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Ruble Yates, a brother William McCoy, 2 brother-in-laws, Johnny Buckley and Marshall Yates and a sister-in-law Sharon McCoy.

He is survived by his wife Esther Cohron McCoy, his son David Warren McCoy and wife Laura, 2 grand daughters Virginia Grace and Vivian Brooke all of Dunwoody, GA, a sister Emmerdean Buckley, a brother Andy McCoy and a sister-in-law Wanida McCoy all of Morgantown, KY.

Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Monday, September 14, 2015 at the J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 PM and Monday from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM.
