Mr. Cornwell died Friday, Dec. 3, 1999, in Welsh. He was a native of Olla and moved from Orange, Texas, to Lake Charles in 1946. He was a Shriner and a Mason and was a member of and a deacon at Boulevard Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Herman Paul Cornwell of Ragley; two daughters, Gayle Clark of Westlake and Carolyn Cummings of Lake Charles; one brother, M.V. Cornwell of Summit, Miss.; one sister, Effie Mae Harrist of Bloomberg, Texas; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
